What is TeacherLock®?

TeacherLock® is a classroom door security solution designed to allow teachers and staff to quickly secure a classroom from the inside during a lockdown while maintaining safe and easy egress for emergency exit.

What makes TeacherLock® different from other door locking devices?

What models are available?

• TeacherLock® I (TL-I): Our original patented design, ideal for states and jurisdictions that have adopted NFPA 101 2024 updates allowing for two-step egress for emergency situations. Requires dualoperation to unlock.

• TeacherLock® II (TL-II): Same great design, single-operation unlock for streamlined egress and code compliance in states and jurisdictions that require it.

  
  Both models offer robust construction and compatibility with standard commercial doors.

Is TeacherLock® code compliant?

Yes. TeacherLock® is designed to meet NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and International Fire Code (IFC) requirements for one-motion egress, ensuring both lockdown security and safe exit during emergencies.

Can TeacherLock be installed on existing doors?

In most cases, yes. TeacherLock® can be retrofitted on standard commercial doors regardless of if the door is inswing or outswing, or if it opens left or right. A lever handle is required for TeacherLock II.

Do you offer installation services?

TeacherLock® can be installed by any certified locksmith or facility maintenance professional. We also offer installation guidance and can connect you with preferred partners.
